About Us
We are delighted that you are interested in learning about our church. May the Lord guide you as you seek His will about choosing the right one for you. We trust that you will find Living Faith Bible faithful to His word, caring about its people, and eager to share the Love of Christ. Please take a moment and read about who we are.
----- ----- -----
We are a friendly church emphasizing scriptural truth in order to gain God's perspective on life's experiences and problems. We believe that God has called us to a separate life exhibited by holiness and the love of the brethren. We know this is not always easy and that we all need a lot of encouragement and exhortation but we strive to please Him in all that we do.

Our Pastor
Pastor David C. Green received a 3-Year degree in Bible and Missions from Davis College, Johnson City, NY. After finishing there, he received a B.S. Degree in Church Ministries from Liberty University's External Degree Program. Soon after, he enrolled in Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, Lynchburg, VA and received a Master's in both Divinity and Theology.
His experience is varied, having served as a church-planting missionary to Ecuador, South America; youth pastor in two churches, Christian education director, and trainer for Evangelism Explosion. His heart is in seeing the Kingdom of God expand through foreign and local missions.

Our History
God began the work at Living Faith Bible Church when He led Dave Green, as founding pastor, to return to this area in 1998. After finishing Seminary in Virginia, he prayed for a long time about which direction to take. He received some personal confirmations and felt led to return to New Hartford to start a church for God's glory.
He began having services with two couples meeting in his house. These meetings began informally, to see which direction the church would take. For a while, Living Faith rented the VFW in Clinton and met there. Eventually it moved back to his house and renovated a building on the property, using it for several years as a meeting hall. Soon, the Union Presbyterian Church facility in Sauquoit became available and the church is currently meeting there.

Our Doctrinal Statement
WE BELIEVE:
In the Scriptures, inspired by God, and consequently completely authoritative and infallible. II Tim. 3:16-17.
In the unchanging Divine Trinity: One in essence but three in persons. Deut. 6:4, Jn. 14:16-17.
In the deity and humanity of Jesus Christ: fully God and fully Man; in His substitut-ionary death on the cross for sinners; and in his physical resurrection from the dead. Heb. 1:8, 1 Jn. 5:20, Jn.1:1, 1 Cor. 3:16.
In the deity, personhood and work of the Holy Spirit. Jn.14:16-17, 16:7-14.
In Man, fallen from perfection and therefore lost and in need of a Savior. Gen.1:26-27, 3:17-19, Rom.3:23.
That salvation is a gift of God, not earned, provided only on the basis of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, to all who believe in Him. Jn. 1:12 Rom. 5:15, 4:25, Eph. 2:8-9.
In a literal, eternal heaven for the saved and in a literal, eternal hell for the lost. Rev. 20:5-6, 12-13. Matt. 25:46.
That Satan is an evil, fallen angelic person who seeks to thwart the plan of God. Job 1:6-7, Rev. 20:11-15.
In the literal, personal, bodily return of Jesus Christ to this earth. I Thess.1:10, 4:13-18.

Our Philosophy of Ministry
** Worship Style
We believe that the traditional hymns as well as many modern choruses are both appropriate in a worship service. We attempt to avoid extremes of either. Stressing one against the other only serves to divide a congregation rather than to unite it. Therefore, in keeping with the command to be of one mind, we attempt to incorporate both hymns and choruses. We encourage people to sing with praise in their hearts, expressing adoration to God in their own appropriately expressive way.
** Relation to Other Believers
The Bible teaches that the universal, mystical body of Christ is comprised of many, local congregations. As long as these believers demonstrate fidelity to the Scriptures, both doctrinally and practically, we feel that we are commanded to treat them as brethren. We understand that often it is neither practical nor wise to unite organizationally, but in heart we accept them as genuine. In addition, the Scriptures command that we hold all professing Christians accountable for a holy life.
** Preaching Style
We stress sound biblical preaching and teaching as the norm. Typically, our Pastor, Dave Green, uses the expositional method before any other. We reject any substitute for the Bible in the pulpit and believe that the direct proclamation of the Word of God is essential to living a holy life. Any substitute, no matter how beneficial it is to modern living, is to be refused in favor of the whole council of God found in the Scriptures.
** Evangelism
We believe that the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20) is obligatory on every believer today, although not everyone is called or gifted to the same degree. We feel that a church won't be fulfilling God's will unless it actively seeks the most effective way(s) to spread the Gospel. We don't believe that we are ultimately responsible for someone's salvation but we know that God will hold us accountable for lost souls that He has called us to evangelize.
